The Actor and the Ladykiller

It was on Coronation Street
Not so long ago
The actor and the ladykiller
Priming for a show
He tied his laces tightly
She put a hairpiece on
Had no way of knowing

That her weary days had come
The actor started drinking hard
The ladykiller knew
And in a dance of wild desire
A tango made for two
He swayed her body across the air
She sailed just like a bird
Crash landed on her temple
But the hit was never heard

The actor and the ladykiller
Played themselves in a real life thriller
The actor tried his best to replace the missing parts
The ladykiller used her cool to fill her empty heart

A gentle breeze was blowing
The air grew salmon pink
Ladykiller played her part
She didn’t even blink
And at the final curtain call
The players faced the crowd
And looked around in fright
‘Cause she was nowhere to be found

Behind the scenes, the Ladykiller
Speaking undefined
Ink black spots and lightning bolts
Struck her puzzled mind
Then in came the doctor, the actor and the thief
Messing with her memory
When she tried to get some sleep

The actor and the ladykiller
Lost themselves in a real life thriller
The actor tried his best to replace the missing parts
The ladykiller used her cool to fill her empty heart

The day was black, the night was bright
Her eyes were open wide
The ladykiller found herself
In the actors arms so tight
Caressed his face, kissed his lips
Moaning like a dove, asking
Is it just my headache or am I mad with love?
